Pop superstar Katy Perry has lost in the High Court after a lengthy trademark battle with an Australian fashion designer who sells clothing under the brand Katie Perry. Katie Jane Taylor’s mark was not in breach of trademark law and was not likely to harm Perry’s reputation or cause confusion, the High Court ruled in a majority decision on Wednesday.
