Australia Post has lodged a proposal to up the price of basic postage stamps, less than a year after already rising stamp prices as the company remains in “structural decline”. The national postage provider lodged a draft Price Notification with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) proposing an increase in the Basic Postage Rate from $1.70 to $1.85 from mid-to-late 2026.
