Dramatic rescue after boat sinks off Lady Musgrave Island, Great Barrier Reef, leaving three people stranded

A dramatic rescue has unfolded off a popular tourist island after three boaties were stranded when their vessel sank on a remote reef. The Queensland Police Service said it first detected a signal from an unregistered Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon about 3.30am on April 4, from waters off Lady Musgrave Island on the southern Great Barrier Reef.
