Flash flood warnings as deluge smashes southeast Queensland and northern NSW

Parts of Queensland and northern New South Wales have been drenched by rain overnight, with the deluge only set to intensify. Flash flooding and heavy rainfall warnings have been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) for parts of South East Queensland including Brisbane metro, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, as well and parts of the northern rivers in NSW.
