Angus Taylor has declared the Liberal Party must “change or die” after he toppled Sussan Ley in a leadership spill on Friday morning. Conceding the Liberals were on life support after failing to properly reset following the landslide 2025 federal election loss, Taylor, 59, said “there is much work to be done” to win back the support of everyday Australians.
