Monsoon rains drench Far North Queensland as BOM warns of possible double cyclone threat

Monsoonal rains have smashed parts of Queensland as forecasters monitor two potential tropical cyclones developing in the state’s north. Queensland’s northeast tropical coastline has copped a massive deluge with between 100mm to 300mm of rain falling on Monday night into Tuesday in multiple locations, including 206mm recorded at Cardwell Marine Parade and 209mm at Ingham Aero.
