A major Queensland highway has been closed after a truck carrying heavy machinery struck a bridge, causing major damage and traffic delays. The truck carrying excavator machinery driving south along the Bruce Hwy at Tanawha on the Sunshine Coast has struck the Ilkley Rd Overpass about 8.45am, gouging out a chunk of concrete and steel wires, and spreading debris over the roadway.
