Unions push for Australian workers to get five weeks annual leave to offset unpaid overtime

Australian unions have launched a major push to lift the minimum annual leave entitlement from four to five weeks, marking what would be the first increase to the standard in half a century. The bid, led by the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU), would give full-time workers an additional week of annual leave each year, while regular shift workers would have their entitlement lifted from five to six weeks.
